Restaurant Labryinth Singapore March 2018

On one of our flights to Singapore, we both watched a short documentary on the plane about Chef/Owner LG Han. After watching this documentary, it was hard not to book a date to allow him to take us on a taste sensation adventure.

What got us hooked was his quest in showcasing Singaporean culture and local flavours using different ingredients to recreate his dishes. For example, the Bak Chor Mee which is usually minced pork noodles served with sliced fish cake. Instead, the fish cake is made from Hokkaido scallops coated with corn flour, then flash fried to resemble fish cake, the noodles are made from squid flesh infused with saffron and the mince pork from a combination of onion and anchovy powder. Knee Deep March 2018

Like we have said before “To us, this place always reminds us of great food. Food so great that it is always been hard to get into, unless you are super organized.”

So when we had an opportunity to dine at this winery again, we thought, this time, we would try their eight course degustation. Our four course degustation a few months ago was amazing so it only made sense we would go back to try the extended course. And try we did! Continue Reading…
